Music Cataloging e-Courses Available through ALA E-Learning
We are happy to announce a collaboration with ALA (American Library Association) to provide Fundamentals of Music Cataloging, a bundle of four continuing education events that will give you a proper orientation to music cataloging and take you through key areas. MGG Online Webinars
In order to fully convey the possibilities of using MGG Online, RILM offers a regular series of free webinars. In these, content, editorial structures, as well as the technical possibilities of the MGG Online platform are presented and discussed. The webinars are held in English and German and can, in the case of larger groups, be specifically tailored to the needs of interested parties. They can be combined with introductions to other RILM resources: RILM Abstracts, RILM Music Encyclopedias, and the Index to Printed Music. Three titles have just joined the continuously expanding collection of historical and current titles, RILM Music Encyclopedias: François Henry Joseph Blaze (Castil-Blaze). Dictionnaire de musique moderne (2nd ed.; Paris: Au magasin de musique de la Lyre moderne, 1825) 2 vols; xvi, 324 p. [25]; 389 p. First published in 1821, by its title alone, Castil-Blaze’s dictionary appears as a modernized version of Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Dictionnaire de musique. Dependent Care & Accessibility Assistance Voucher for 2022 Annual Meeting
MLA has established a Dependent Care and Accessibility Assistance Voucher for the meeting in March, 2022. This fund was created in order to make attending the national MLA meeting more feasible to those with accessibility and dependent care needs and totals $2,000. Please note that this does not replace reasonable accommodations set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act that would normally be provided by the Association upon request. Reduced Registration Program 2022
Thinking of attending the 2022 Salt Lake City annual meeting? Early Registration will be reduced to $140 for qualified applicants. You must be willing to work for a total of five (5) hours on one or more assigned jobs during the three and one half (3 ½) days of the conference.
