  • Dual Degree Program available

    • Students may enroll simultaneously in the programs in librarianship and music. The MS in Information and Library Science degree requires 36 credit hours; the MA in music history or music theory requires 32 credit hours. Credits may not be shared (“double-counted”) between programs. The program generally requires five semesters and a summer session to complete. Students must be accepted by both the Department of Information and Library Studies and the Music Department.

    • The following LIS courses deal exclusively with aspects of music librarianship: Music Librarianship and Music Description and Access. Courses may not be offered regularly.

  • Graduate-level music courses accepted for credit (6)
