New Student/Early Career Visiting Board Member

Jessica Abbazio has been selected as the inaugural Board Student/Early Career Representative in the three-year pilot for a visiting member of the Board to represent the early-career and student members of the Association. She will join the Board in upcoming (virtual) meetings in May and June 2020 and serve through the conclusion of the 2021 annual meeting.

Jessica is the music librarian at the University of Minnesota, providing instruction, reference, outreach, and public services at the University’s Music Library. She received a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Musicology at the University of Maryland, a Master of Library Science with a specialization in Music Librarianship at Indiana University, and a B.M. in Music Education at George Mason University. Jessica is an active member of the Music Library Association, currently serving on the Membership Committee and the Career Development & Services Committee, as well as a co-coordinator of the Career Development & Services Committee’s New Members Forum. She has also served as the Chair and Programming Officer for the Music Library Student and Emerging Professionals Interest Group (MLStEP).
