Supervisory Librarian (Head, Reader Services)

Job summary: The Head, Reader Services Section and Performing Arts Reading Room is under the general direction of the Chief and Assistant Chief, who review and approve technical procedures, personnel recommendations, and work programs proposed. In other respects, the incumbent enjoys a high degree of independence in the direction of reader services in the Division. Participates in discussions, meetings and conferences with the Chief and Assistant Chief, and, as required, divisional and inter-divisional meetings concerning policies and procedures affecting reader services in the Performing Arts Reading Room (PARR). Meets regularly with Assistant Chief and Head, Acquisition and Processing Section to coordinate staff schedules and work assignments.
