Job Description

For position as Fine Arts and Humanities Divisions Manager: position involves extensive outreach to and liaison with arts and
cultural communities and organizations and requires an understanding of
archival preservation and procedures. Bachelor’s degree in visual arts,
music, performing arts, or a related field is preferred.
 
The
Fine Arts and Humanities Divisions house extensive research and
archival collections (over 350,000 items) supporting the work of an
active and vibrant cultural community. Under the direction of the
District Manager, the Fine Arts and Humanities Manager plans, directs,
and supervises two Central Library divisions to effectively deliver
quality library resources, services, and programming to a diverse
community of users.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited university. Two (2) years
of library services experience and/or two (2) years of supervisory
experience. Requires effective public relations, organizational,
oral/written communication  skills and MS Office or similar
software skills. Must have the ability to supervise others, prepare
budgets and provide management reports. Some positions may require
nights and weekends.
