CITY OF LINCOLN/LANCASTER COUNTY invites applications for the position of Librarian – Polley Music Library.


SALARY:  $23.91 – $31.89 Hourly

JOB POSTING INFORMATION:

This position works in the Polley Music Library at Bennett Martin Library.  Hours: Full time; 40 hours per week. Sundays – Saturday. Lincoln City Libraries seeks a collaborative and energetic librarian to manage the Polley Music Library including programs, services, outreach activities, collection, budget, social media sties, collaborations and provide direct customer service 20 hours per week.  The Librarian is responsible for creating a comfortable and positive atmosphere for library customers, supervising Polley Music services including collection and budget, providing outreach to the music community, planning programs and planning and implementing new services.


Qualifications:  Master’s degree from an ALA accredited library science program and 2 – 4 years experience working in a library or customer service setting; or equivalent.

Benefits for part-time, classified employees are available depending upon the number of hours worked per week and prorated accordingly. Temporary and unclassified positions are paid for hours worked and offer NO BENEFITS. Certain non-career service grant-funded positions may specify terms and conditions of employment.
