Rider University seeks a Cataloging Specialist to catalog books and scores for inclusion in the online catalog; revise existing data, as needed; and train and oversee student employees in pre-cataloging and processing.

Successful candidate must have the following: knowledge of AACR2, preferably RDA; knowledge of LC Subject Headings and Classifications; experience with OCLC; broad musical knowledge (undergraduate degree required, some graduate-level study helpful); bibliographic familiarity with foreign languages; accurate data entry skills and attention to detail; ability to identify problems, prioritize numerous tasks and respond to multiple requests from library staff; and familiarity with Sierra or any other online library information system.
