Talbott Library, at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey, seeks an individual to ensure the smooth functioning of all library circulation areas including the Performance Collection. Individual will also: provide for the efficient circulation of library materials and patron satisfaction; supervise Library Technical Assistants and Library student employees in all areas including the Performance Collection; oversee building security, stacks management, and equipment management among other operational responsibilities; and oversee the use, access, and maintenance of the Performance Collection and work closely with the choral music bibliographer on the Collection’s bibliographic work which involves ensuring that large quantities of choral music is processed and entered into the Library’s integrated system for use by the WCC choirs in a timely manner.
Successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and the proven ability to organize and monitor a variety of tasks simultaneously. Additionally the individual must possess: good communication and interpersonal skills; previous library experience, preferably in public service; the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently in a continuously changing environment; and computer skills. Educational background in music and experience with Sierra or other Library Management System preferred.
