A contract with A-R Editions to co-publish the MLA monographic series was signed by the President and takes effect as of January 1, 2008. (Minutes, 02/2008 VI.2) MLA maintains a separate contract with A-R Editions for the publication of Notes and the conference program. The publication of Music Cataloging Bulletin (MCB) is covered in the management services contract.

The Administrative Officer is authorized by the President and Board of Directors to serve as the overseer of and sole official liaison with the MLA Business Office and Scarecrow Publishers, Dues and Subscription Service and the Book Warehouse. The Administrative Officer transmits the reports from MLA’s co-publishers report from the Book Warehouse to the Board regarding our inventory of Publications.
