List of Previous Goals and Progress Made

  1. Continue to develop and offer e-training opportunities for those who work with music materials in libraries and information repositories: Ongoing.
  2. Create and being to distribute instructor agreements for webinar and e-course teaching: Completed.
  3. Develop new and innovative ways to promote the educational services provided by MLA to members and other stakeholders: In Process. We have worked out a process to send emails to MLA members for webinars and e-courses, and we now list them on MLA’s social media.
  4. Develop a Train the Trainer module with tools that teachers of webinars, e-courses, and in-person workshops can use: Not Started. This will be a priority for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
  5. Document processes and save them to a shared Google Drive folder to facilitate clearer, easier operations and transitions in Committee membership in the future: In Process.

  1. Work more closely with other MLA Committees and interest groups to plan instructional opportunities that meet the membership’s needs: Organizational Excellence, Education
  2. Continue to develop new ways to promote the educational services provided by MLA to members and other stakeholders: Value of the Profession, Advocacy, Education
    • Focus more on the availability of personalized in-person training.
  3. Develop a Train the Trainer module with tools that teachers of webinars, e-courses, and in-person workshops can use: Advocacy, Education
  4. Continue to document and organize processes in a saved drive to facilitate clearer, easier operations and transitions in Committee membership and leadership: Organizational Excellence
